 About me . . .

I'm a freelance writer based in Bloomington, Indiana.

I've been a professional writer for more than 12 years, writing for print, web and broadcast media.  My work has appeared in many local, national and international magazines, including "The Jerusalem Report," "The Jersualem Post Magazine," "Reform Judaism," "Bloom," "IU Research & Creative Activity" and "IU Teaching & Learning."  On the radio, my work for "Earth & Sky" and "A Moment of Science" is heard by millions of people all around the world, everyday.  Throughout Indiana and several other states in the U.S., I'm known as a prominent voice on "Sound Medicine," a show for which I write, produce and do voice work.  You can learn more about my experience by reading my resume

But more importantly, I love to write.  It's what I'd do in my spare time even if I was stuck in some boring office job.  Being a professional writer was always my dream and my goal, and I feel fortunate to have made that dream a reality.  So, for me, writing isn't just a job, a way to make a few bucks.  It's what I do best and what I care about most.  I look at each writing project, whether it's a full-length magazine feature or a marketing brochure--as a challenge.  The excitement lies in working to solve the code, so to speak, that will unlock the right combination of words, phrases and sentences necessary to make the project sing.  That's really what it's all about . . . a deep devotion to words and language, to the details of syntax, grammar and sentence structure brought to bear on every single project, large and small.
